Mathesis
Norway's PhD school for the foundations of computational and pure mathematics
Mathesis is Norway's national PhD school for the foundations of computational mathematics. Hosted by the Lie-Størmer Center and run with partner universities across the country, it trains researchers who combine deep mathematical insight with computational practice.
The name Mathesis comes from Greek μάθησις (mathēsis), meaning "learning" — signaling our mission of rigorous training across mathematical disciplines with a focus on computation.
