Elena Celledoni

Elena Celledoni is Professor of Mathematics at NTNU in Trondheim. Her research focuses on geometric numerical integration, structure-preserving algorithms, and the numerical analysis of differential equations on manifolds. She is a leading expert on Lie group methods and their applications to computational mechanics.

She has made foundational contributions to the theory of numerical integrators that preserve geometric structure, including work on shape analysis and integration on homogeneous spaces. As editor of the volume 'Computation and Combinatorics in Dynamics, Stochastics and Control,' she has helped shape modern geometric numerical analysis.
