Funded by the Indo-Norwegian Cooperation Programme (INCP2) through the Norwegian Directorate for Higher Education and Skills (HK-dir), this project connects researchers at UiT – The Arctic University of Norway with the National Centre for Mathematics in India (a joint initiative of IIT Bombay and TIFR).
The project focuses on developing mathematical theory and models for more efficient data transmission and more secure data encryption. Research areas include algebraic coding theory, polynomial optimization, and connections between real algebraic geometry and modern cryptographic applications.
The collaboration supports researcher exchanges, joint workshops, and knowledge sharing between the Norwegian and Indian mathematics communities, building on UiT's expertise in applied and computational algebra.
